I'm A Celeb: Kym Marsh is voting for ex-husband Jamie Lomas to do Bushtucker trials

Kym Marsh has revealed that she is voting for her ex-husband, Hollyoaks’ star Jamie Lomas, to do all of the Bushtucker trials in this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, but not because there is bad blood between them.

In fact, Kym has been publicly supporting Jamie since he entered the Aussie jungle on Sunday for the sake of their six-year-old daughter, Polly – who has been enjoying watching her dad on the reality show.

Writing in her column for OK! magazine, Kym explained: “Polly and I will definitely vote for him to do the trials – Polly will want to see him being challenged as he’s her hero.”

The Coronation Street star continued: “Polly couldn’t wait to start watching him on the show and said to me: ‘I want to see daddy eating some bugs – although he better brush his teeth before he gives me a kiss!'”

Kym and Jamie have maintained an amicable relationship since their divorce in 2014 following their five-year relationship.

Speaking before he entered the jungle, Jamie told The Sun: “Polly will definitely be watching. Kym will be making her watch it. She’s super excited.

“I think leaving your kids behind is the hardest part. I think that’s the case for any parent, but I just want to make them proud.”

Upon entering the jungle viewers voted for Jamie to be paired with Kym’s Corrie co-star, and friend, Jennie McAlpine, with Kym tweeting her support for both stars during the show’s launch.
