I'm A Celebrity launched last night, November 17, with many stars heading into the jungle to take part in one of the most challenging game shows on TV. Another celebrity has touched down in Australia ahead of a stint in the jungle and has been pictured on set.

ITV Coronation Street star Colson Smith, known for his role as Craig Tinker on the cobbles teased fans last week as he shared a video to his TikTok page singing along to 'Down under' by Australian band Men at Work. Fans rushed to the comments as he captioned the video, "Any guesses where I might be off?"

One fan said: "Omg! I’m A Celeb?! You weren’t even in rumoured line up" and another added "I really hope you’re going into the I’m A Celeb jungle." Other fans speculated: "The jungle … they bring 2 In late" and "I'd say jungle but Tyrone's already there. Two corrie actors" alongside a smirking emoji.

Sharing an update last night, Colson posted a photo of himself to Instagram and said "I am heading to the jungle. See you tonight Am A Celeb - Unpacked ITV2"

Following the announcement, Corrie co-star and Bethany Platt actress Lucy Fallon commented: "Get him in there" and former Love Islander Chloe Burrows added: "This is very cool." While Colson may not be heading into the actual camp, there are latecomers expected with Love Island's Maura Higgins and Rev Richard Coles bookies' favourites.

Alan Halsall who plays Tyrone Dobbs in Weatherfield is taking part in this year's I'm A Celebrity. Alan branded his participation in this year's show as the "worst kept secret" as he was forced to pull out of the 2023 season.

Alan is following in the footsteps of his Corrie co-stars, Andy Whyment and Jennie McAlpine. Discussing his feelings about entering the jungle the 42-year-old said: "I am looking forward to meeting different people in camp. This is something I have always shied away from in the past. You are never going to get me on the ice, dancing isn’t my thing and this will be much harder than filming a scene in Corrie."

The Coronation Street star has got off to a flying start in the jungle after coming out on top in the first challenge last night. Alan and Tulisa won the competition and were crowned the first camp leaders. The celebrities were paired up and were fighting to get certain privileges, including being exempt from the first trial, not having to do chores and getting to sleep in the leaders’ lodge.
