However, it appears the first contestant has been 'confirmed' as McFly band member Danny Jones arrived in the country.

The Bolton singer arrived at Brisbane Airport, Australia to a frenzy of photographers and was also pictured embracing Sam Thompson and Joel Dommett. Sam Thompson was crowned King of the Jungle last year, with Joel coming runner-up in 2016.

The pair are now the hosts of I’m A Celebrity Unpacked, alongside DJ Kemi Rodgers.

Danny Jones was due to arrive at Brisbane airport on Sunday after flying in from London but flight SQ245 flew into a giant storm which caused the runway to be closed, the Mirror reports. A statement over the tannoy in the Brisbane airport arrivals hall said "The runway is currently closed until the storm has passed."
