I'm A Celebrity 'dark horse' identified after just one episode as odds slashed on one ITV star
The new series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here might only be a day old but experts claim to have identified this year's 'dark horse' with one star's odds changing significantly after millions tuned into watch Sunday's launch episode.
One of the final big names to be linked to the ITV show this year, boxing legend Barry McGuigan even tried to throw reporters off the scent when he landed in Australia last week, claiming he was there to 'check out some new fighters' before his name appeared on the official I'm A Celebrity line-up on Monday.
The boxing legend and former world champion made his I'm A Celebrity debut on Sunday night, alongside stars like Coleen Rooney, early bookies favourite Danny Jones, GK Barry and Dean McCullough. And, while podcast host GK was voted by viewers to take on Monday night's trial Vile Volcano, it was Barry and Danny who took on the first trial of 2024, when they took on the The Mausoleum of Misery.

And, it's having seen Barry's interactions with his co-stars in episode one and his hilarious efforts during the trial that bookies have made him the 'one to watch.' In response to the positive reaction to Barry from viewers at home, BetMGM have moved Barry into fourth place in the betting on I'm A Celebrity winner on 7/1.
McFly singer Danny still leads the way on 2/1, with GK on 9/2 and rumoured late arrival Maura Higgins on 13/2. Looking at the change in the odds, UK Director at BetMGM, Sam Behar, said: “It was certainly an interesting opening to the new series of I’m A Celeb and we’ve seen a couple of noteworthy market movers already.
“Barry McGuigan is the big mover at 7/1 from 10/1 while GK Barry is now the biggest challenger to Danny Jones at the top of the market, with the YouTuber 9/2 from 11/2.”
