I'm A Celebrity bosses are said to have found the 'perfect' replacement for Tommy Fury on the new series line=-up and it's none other than Maura Higgins, who he appeared in Love Island with five years ago.

Tommy was first linked with I'm A Celebrity after his split from Love Island fiancée Molly Mae Hague made headlines in the summer, with ITV producers said to be hopeful that he'd 'spill the beans' on their break up and be as popular as he was when he and Molly-Mae finished second on Love Island in 2019.

However, as other stars like Coleen Rooney, Tulisa and Max Whitlock were linked with a place on the I'm A Celebrity 2024 line-up, it was claimed that boxer Tommy had done a huge u-turn on going into the jungle and pulled out of the show to focus on another 'lucrative project,' believed to be a re-match against social media star KSI.

And it is now believed that TV execs search for someone to replace Tommy in the new series, starting on November 17, has led them to Maura,. who also made the Love Island final five years ago, along with ex Curtis Pritchard. On a potential deal to sign Maura for I'm A Celeb, an insider told The Sun: "With Tommy Fury pulling out it gave show bosses the opportunity to look at other Love Island stars and Maura stood out as the perfect candidate.

'She'll bringing a bit of glamour to the jungle and make a brilliant campmate because she's got a great sense of humour and is bound to get on with everyone."

Other stars linked with the new series of the much loved programme include GK Barry, her Loose Women co-star Jane Moore, Strictly's Giovanni Pernice and Ally McCoist although the football legend has publicly ruled himself out.
