Soccer Aid 2023 has attracted another star-studded lineup, including stars from I'm a Celebrity and Line of Duty.

The celebrity football match, which raises funds for UNICEF, will be taking place this year at the historic Old Trafford in Manchester, airing on ITV live on Sunday, June 11, 2023.

Celebrity players for both England and the World squads have been revealed today, with Lioness hero Jill Scott joining the Three Lions team following her stint in the jungle for I'm a Celebrity.

"The Euros, The Jungle and now Soccer Aid for UNICEF – it’s the holy trinity," she said. "I’ve won two of them, so just need Soccer Aid now to complete ‘The Treble’!

"I think of all three, this might be the one I’m most nervous about, though – just look at the names involved! Buy a ticket, support this amazing cause and cheer us on!"

Scott's squad will be attempting to bring home the gold for England for the first time since 2018, with the team set to be managed by Line of Duty's Vicky McClure and Chelsea Women's Emma Hayes.

On top of Scott captaining the England team, Top Gear's Paddy McGuinness will be the designated celebrity goalkeeper. Other notable members of Team England will be Premier League striker Jermain Defoe, midfielder Jack Wilshere, Lioness Karen Carney and Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.

Celebrities suiting up will include DJ Joel Corry, rapper and actor Bugzy Malone, Olympian Sir Mo Farah, singer Tom Grennan, retired football legend and Sky pundit Gary Neville and The Last Leg's Alex Brooker, among others.

"I am really looking forward to lacing up my boots again – and playing with some of my old friends," Wilshere said. "I can’t tell you how good these legends are and I’m told a few of the celebrities are quite handy too!

"As a father to young children, taking part in this game has extra significance for me – and I would urge people to buy tickets and show their support too."

The initial lineup of The World squad has also been announced, led by coach Robbie Keane and captain Usain Bolt. Comedian Lee Mack, Love Island's Kem Cetinay and Dragon's Den's Steven Bartlett are on board too.

Soccer Aid co-founder Robbie Williams has said: "I’m so proud that Soccer Aid for UNICEF has raised over £75 million since we started it 17-years-ago. It’s an incredible achievement that will help UNICEF ensure children around the world get the best start in life. But we can’t stop there! Right now, childhoods are being turned upside down by conflict and crisis.

"We’d like as many people as possible to buy a ticket to this year’s star-studded match and help protect play for every child. Thank you so much for your support."

You can purchase your tickets now to Soccer Aid 2023, or make a donation via the charity's official website.
