I'm A Celebrity's Alan Halsall supported by Coronation Street co-star in 'love you' message
Coronation Street stars have sent well wishes to co-star Alan Halsall. Playing the role of Tyrone Dobbs on the cobbles for 26 years, Alan is a familiar face with millions across the country.
Upon entering the jungle, the actor branded his participation on the show as the 'worst kept secret'. He said: "It’s a life experience and I am sure I will learn some new things about myself along the way too.”
However, he said his co-stars weren't able to give him any tips. He said: "I don’t think you can give a great deal of advice about something like this."

In a post on the official Coronation Street Instagram, actors have issued messages of support to the I'm A Celeb contestant. Liam McCheyne who plays Dylan Wilson in Weatherfield said: "All the best for the jungle, mate. You'll absolutely smash it, have a great time and I'll see you when you're back. Take care."
Steve McDonald star, Simon Gregson added: "I hope you win, mate. I hope you're going to be the new king of the jungle. I reckon you will be, I love you loads absolutely smash it. Can't wait for you to come back home."
The 42-year-old was originally meant to enter the jungle last year but was forced to pull out to have major knee surgery. The soap star has issued an update on his progress after he underwent ACL reconstruction surgery.
He said: "It was a bit of a shock when I got the knee injury last year and whilst I am signed off surgically, I still have several months of physio ahead of me. But a top football professional like Rodri, for example, would take about a year to get back to playing football (after something like I’ve had) and he has the best medical staff in the world."
However, he heaped praises on show bosses for the way they have accommodated his time away from the show. Alan lifted the lid on his character's near future as he said Tyrone may be enjoying a more settled period for the time-being but he has no intentions of departing the cobbles.
