Ant and Dec caused 'panic' amongst fans of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here just hours before Sunday's new series launch, when they hinted that a much loved element might be scrapped.

Apart from in 2018, when Ant took a break from the spotlight and was replaced by Holly Willoughby, the Geordie duo have been at the helm on every single series of I'm A Celebrity to date, having first ventured into the Australian jungle in the summer of 2002, to see Tony Blackburn crowned the first ever King of the Jungle.

After Covid forced them , their colleagues and the famous contestants to relocate to a castle in Wales in both 2020 and 2021, Ant and Dec were delighted to be back Down Under in 2022, as Jill Scott triumphed, months after retiring from football. And on Sunday night, Ant and Dec will be back at the helm as millions tune into ITV to see the I'm A Celebrity 2024 line-up in action for the first time.

Stars like Coleen Rooney, early frontrunner Danny Jones, GK Barry and Dean McCullough are all taking part in the new series, as some fans declare that it's the best list of contestants the show has had for some time. But amidst all the excitement, Ant and Dec threatened to break some bad news to their Instagram followers on Sunday afternoon.

For the last few years, the hosts have hosted Instagram live chats, called Jungle Club, with fans directly after the main ITV show has finished and, delivering an update on its future, Dec began: "Hi everybody, Ant and Dec here. But you knew that. We've got a little update for you, because we know lots of you've been asking about Jungle Club this year. We've got some good news and we got some bad news. I'll start with the bad news, shall I?"

Taking over, Ant explained: "Jungle Club will not be going on straight after the main show. Sorry. The good news is it will be going on straight after the new ITV2 show. Yay!" Dec continued: "So we are back, but we're a little bit later. Yes, we are. It's Jungle Club: Late & Live. One for all you night owls out there."
