Danny Jones broke down on tears during Wednesday's edition of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, as he talked about his battle with anxiety and a terrifying moment from his past, when he had a panic attack during a live TV interview.

Having won The Masked Singer as Piranha earlier this year and, due to the huge popularity of McFly, musician and Voice UK coach Danny went into the new series of the ITV show as the early favourite to win, ahead of stars like GK Barry, Coleen Rooney and Alan Halsall. And, while there has been a few changes in the odds since I'm A Celebrity started on Sunday, it's Danny who remains in first place, having impressed when he joined Barry McGuigan to take on the first Bushtucker Trial in episode one.

While he wasn't on Trial action on Wednesday, as GK and Dean took it on and returned to camp empty handed, Danny was involved in a very emotional moment, when he talked about his struggles. It was when talking about his tattoos and pointing to a 'Don't worry, me happy' inking that he began to open up, saying: "It’s because I’m always constantly worrying, but that’s what I’m working on.” Yeah, I’ve been in therapy since I was 19 for anxiety."

Recalling what happened when he was appearing on This Morning decades ago, Danny explained: "“I was freaking out and I couldn’t answer the question that got asked to me. I felt like I was going to puke, I went white. Heartrate goes crazy"

When I'm A Celebrity co-star Jane asked whether he thought he had it from being a kid, or as a product of being in a band, he answers: “I think I escaped a lot, before putting his head in his hands and starting to cry," prompting the others to comfort him, as Tulisa responded: "It’s really good to let it out and it’s really brave to be vulnerable, people respect it.”
