I'm A Celebrity's Dean McCullough and Alan Halsall in ITV 'clash' as tensions boil over
Dean McCullough and Alan Halsall have been embroiled in a I'm A Celebrity 'clash' with the two stars seen arguing in the closing minutes of Saturday's episode.
One of the lesser known stars on the line-up for the ITV show this year, Dean is best known for being a presenter on BBC Radio 1, while Alan is known to millions of soap fans for playing Tyrone in Coronation Street, a role he'd had for over two decades now. In the first week of the new series, there have been no signs of any tension between the pair, but things became heated after Dean slept on his duties in camp and was woken up by Alan.
Saturday's episode of I'm A Celebrity saw the truth finally exposed about late arrivals Maura Higgins and Rev Richard Coles' 'secret mission' as they took part in a eating trial in a bid to win meals for everyone and, after having a huge helping of junk food, including pizza and onion rings, a sleepy Dean decided to take a nap.

However, with chores still to do, Jane had to go and collect firewood and, not wanting to break any I'm A Celebrity rules mentioned that she 'couldn't do it on her own.' Watching Jane head off on her own, Alan decided to take the reins and wake Dean up so he could help out with his allocated jungle chores. However a sleepy and disorientated Dean was left less than impressed at being woken, and hardly stirred as Alan asked him: “You don’t fancy it? No?”.
When he got little response from Dean, Alan decided to go down with Jane to help her so she wasn’t alone, before the radio host joined them and told Alan: “You can go back now," as, explaining himself, he replied: "I was trying to wake you up as soft as I could.”
Becoming more irate, Dean responded: “Listen to me. If you’re gonna wake me up, you need to give me a minute, alright? It takes a couple of minutes for my contact lenses to get back working again, alright, so you don’t need to turn around to me and say ‘do you not fancy it?’ ok? And then turn around and walk away.”
Standing his ground, Alan told him “I’ve listened to you, Jane was halfway down here, that’s why I went…and Dean responded said: “Ok I get that but you need to give me a minute mate”
Alan again apologised if he'd upset Dean, before Dean went into into the Bush Telegraph and ranted: "He didn't even give me a chance to say yes or no. He went 'you don;'t fancy it' and run. Don't dig me out like that! Of course I wanted to help Jane."
