I'm a Celebrity aired its first live trial of the series on Friday (November 20), bringing with it a gloriously uncensored F-bomb.

Named The Royal Tournament, the trial placed the boys against the girls in a number of star-hunting and unscrewing challenges. The winning team would be fed a proper meal, while the losers would be stuck to just rice and beans.

Before the individual challenges kicked off, presenters Ant and Dec warned the campmates that the trial was live and that they needed to mind their language.

But that didn't stop Vernon Kay from loudly exclaiming "F***!" the second he was covered in a bucket-load of critters.

While it was past the watershed, those watching at home were still shocked and amused to hear the presenter swear at the top of his voice on live television.

"Did Vernon Kay just shout ‘F***’ on live telly?" tweeted one stunned viewer, while another wrote: "Vernon kay screaming “f***” is my new religion."

Check out more of the reactions below. Note: these tweets naturally include the aforementioned naughty word.

Anyway, it seems yelling a solitary profanity aided Vernon and the boys in some way, because they eventually went on to win the challenge, meaning they'll be eating well tonight.

I'm a Celebrity continues Saturday (November 21) at 8.45pm on ITV.
