I'm A Celeb's Coleen Rooney shares love story behind husband Wayne's tattoo

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star Coleen Rooney revealed she was stunned when her husband got a tattoo of her early in the relationship.

The popular ITV show returned over the weekend and welcomed ten celebrities into the Australian jungle. This year's star-studded cast features 38 year old WAG Coleen Rooney, Strictly's Oti Mabuse, BBC Radio 1's Dean McCullough, Coronation Street's Alan Halsall and McFly's Danny Jones.

As the celebs have been getting acquainted with their new surroundings, they've been sharing personal stories and experiences. Ex-boxer Barry McGuigan has spoken about the emotional loss of his daughter Danika, while Coleen has shed light on the notorious 'WAGatha Christie' saga.

On tonight's episode (November 19), the campmates listened as Coleen remembered the early days of her romance with the ex-England and Manchester United football legend.

She recalled: "I was still at school when he was playing for Everton. I used to walk out and all the girls were going, 'Whose is that car there?'

"And he was in a Bentley [...] and there's Wayne in the passenger seat with his arm out and one of the [other] players like Thomas Gravesen."

Wayne kickstarted his professional career at Everton at the tender age of 16 before moving to Manchester United, where he enjoyed a record-setting stint.

Continuing her tale, she added: "I just used to get embarrassed" and clarified that the Bentley wasn't actually Wayne's car: "He just used to get a lift home."

As the chat continued, the Scouser revealed a sweet, permanent gesture her partner Wayne made when they were teenagers.

Coleen told her campmates that Wayne's cousin rang her to ask how she spelled her name, specifying whether it was with one or two Ls. When she inquired about the reason behind the question, the cousin nonchalantly mentioned: "I'm just with our Wayne in town, he's getting a tattoo."

After that call, Coleen recounted attending a friend's 18th birthday party, where she spotted Wayne proudly displaying his arm to everyone.

She then discovered the romantic surprise: "He'd got my name tattooed on him! At 17!"

In the first episode of the season, the TV star had shared with her fellow contestants, including Oti Mabuse, GK Barry, and Jane Moore, that her connection with Wayne wasn't instant, confessing that her now-husband had "fought" for a chance to date her.

She revealed, "He fought to get me, yeah. I waited until I'd done my GCSEs and then I went on a date. I was pretty good at school."
