But it’s not as dog eat dog as it sounds.

Richard announced the (brief) change to the show’s hosting duties over the Christmas period while he’s away in Australia.

Revealing the news on the last episode of the morning programme before Christmas, Arnold said: ‘I’m disappearing for a while. Who knows when I’ll be back; you know what it’s like in this business.’

But he was quick to clear up what was going on before joking about Iain stealing his job completely.

‘Nevertheless, Iain Lee will be filling in, momentarily I’m told. There he is in my dressing room.’

To which the cameras switched to Iain, and he replied: ‘Hello Richard, Iain Lee here. Just filling in for you for a couple of weeks so please don’t panic.’

Iain came third in this year’s I’m A Celeb, behind Jamie Lomas and eventual winner Georgia Toffolo. Many thought he was destined to be crowned the new King of the Jungle after becoming something of a fan favourite, but it wasn’t to be.

During his time on the reality show, Iain was at the centre of an ongoing bullying controversy with camp mates Amir Khan and Dennis Wise, and has since spoken out about how disappointed he was in the former’s behaviour.
