I'm A Celeb star Oti Mabuse has admitted that she questioned herself after her daughter was born prematurely last year and says that she would like to have more children.

Speaking on the Netmums podcast, the former Strictly Come Dancing star opened up on the period before giving birth to her daughter prematurely last Christmas: "I think I questioned what happened, I questioned myself a lot, because I still think about what I was doing. And it was not even what I was doing it was like why, why was I working out so many times, why was I working so actively, what was I trying to prove, what was the point?"

The I'm A Celeb contestant added: "There was a little bit of self blame there, where you think, maybe if I'd just stayed at home and relaxed and just nested, maybe this would have not happened. Maybe if I had just not done that work out or that dance class, or maybe if I had just done things a little bit different."

But, despite her traumatic experience of giving birth prematurely, she insisted that she like to have more children: "I do want more children, because even if she's shouting at me (her daughter) me now, or Chris. I want more children (and I think) how is this experience going to change the next experience?"

Meanwhile, on Tuesday (November 26) she opened up to fellow campmates about the difficult moments surrounding her child's birth last year, reports the Daily Record.

Having to spend her daughters first six weeks with her on a neonatal intensive care unit, she said: “It’s hell to be in the hospital, to hear those sounds, to not see your baby’s eyes for a week,”

“It’s hell to constantly look for advice from the doctors.” the Strictly star added.

The Dancing on Ice judge struggled to hide her emotions as she told the camp: “Every night, you need to leave them, you need to leave your baby in someone else’s hands.”

Oti rose to fame after becoming only the second dancer in Strictly Come Dancing history to win the show in consecutive years, in 2019 and 2020. Leaving the show in 2022, she joined Dancing on Ice as a judge later that year.

I'm A Celebrity airs every night of the week live on ITV 1 at 9pm.
