'I'm a flight attendant - there's one thing I'll never drink on a plane'
There are some things you should just never drink on a plane.
Planes are not the most sanitary of places. You're packed into a metal tube with several strangers who could be carrying all sorts of colds and other illnesses, and the only place to go to the bathroom is a tiny room that causes unsanitary spills every time the plane hits even the lightest turbulence.
But it's not just the germ-filled air and the gross toilets that you have to worry about. One flight attendant has said that even some of the drinks offered on flights aren't a good idea, as some of them could turn your stomach. And what's worse is it's bad news for us Brits.

Flight attendant Kat Kamalani shared a video on TikTok where she claimed she would "never" drink anything on a plane that doesn't come from a sealed bottle or can, as she claimed the water tank they use is "never cleaned". This means no more cups of tea or coffee on a plane, as Kat claimed you can never be sure how fresh the water actually is.
She said: "Never consume any liquid that is not in a can or a bottle. The water tanks are never cleaned and they are disgusting. Talk to a flight attendant and you'll find we rarely drink the coffee or tea that comes from the same water tank."
Kat stated that while the kettles and jugs that hold the hot water on the flight do get washed out and cleaned in between flights, the main tank that holds the water does not. However, people in the comments pointed out that the water that would be used to make tea or coffee would be boiled first, so any bacteria would be killed off before it makes its way into your tea. Others claimed the tanks are sterilised and disinfected often, but if you're worried about water quality it's best to avoid airline water - just to be on the safe side.
One person said: "Water tanks are sterilised on a regular basis. I know because I do it." As another added: "They always serve the coffee and water boiling. Definitely that kills bacteria."
Meanwhile, another flight attendant recently warned against drinking directly from cans on a plane, as they too can be riddled with germs. The woman, named Cher, instead suggested asking for a plastic cup and pouring your drink into it.
She explained: "I will never put my mouth on soda cans or beer cans if I'm travelling for leisure and I decide to order a drink. The catering trucks are truly gross and I don't trust that there's not sometimes bugs crawling on the outside of the cans. In addition, I often see these cans swimming around in buckets of water for hours on end."
