Residents of the fire-ravaged town of Grizzly Flats in northern California surveyed the damage caused by the Caldor Fire, as they began to return to their homes on September 12.
This footage, posted to Instagram, shows one resident filming burnt-out vehicles near his home in Grizzly Flats in El Dorado County. “I’m speechless. This is just heartbreaking,” he wrote.
CBS San Francisco reported that Grizzly Flats locals started to return to the area after state officials reopened a part of Highway 50, weeks after the fire tore through the area.
