Yahoo News Iman Shares Touching Photo Of David Bowie And Their Daughter Lexi On Father’s Day
David Bowie’s wife Iman posted a touching tribute to her late husband on Father’s Day (Sunday June 19).
The photo shows Bowie lovingly cradling the couple’s daughter, Alexandria “Lexi” Zahra Jones, when she was a baby.
The Somali supermodel captioned the photo: “Happy Father’s Day #LexiLove.”

Lexi’s birth in August 2000 prompted Bowie to step out of the spotlight and focus on living a “normal” family life in New York.
“He missed out on much of Zowie’s young life, and wanted to spend as much time as possible with Lexi,” biographer David Buckley said of Bowie and Iman’s only child together.
The Ziggy Stardust superstar also has an adult son, film director Duncan Jones (“Zowie”), from his previous marriage to Angie Bowie.

Iman’s most recent post comes less than two weeks after she shared a photo with her late husband – who she married in 1992, eight years before their daughter was born – in honour of their 24th wedding anniversary.
On that occasion the 60-year-old wrote: “June 6th…., 24th wedding anniversary #foreverlove (sic).”

Bowie passed away in January of this year, aged 69, following a secret battle with liver cancer.
Iman suffered further tragedy following the death of her mother Marian Abdulmajid just two months after the passing of her husband.
