Improvements to train stations have appeared across Bristol alongside the opening of Ashley Down Station. Redland and Montpelier stations have both had new overhead displays installed to improve customer experience.

Prior to the upgrade, Redland had a central screen showing when trains were arriving. However, these frequently did not update and the live time screens are a welcome improvement to the station.

The screens have not yet been connected to the necessary infrastructure to make them show trains incoming to the station. Work is expected to be completed next week to ensure they are functioning.

A GWR spokesperson said: "We continually work to improving the customer experience and invest in our stations. The addition of these displays should certainly help our passengers with the latest train information."
