The air date for The Inbetweeners reunion has finally been announced and fans will be seeing Will, Simon, Neil and Jay on their screens again very soon.

For the first time since October 2010's finale 'The Camping Trip', Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison and Joe Thomas will all appear on the small screen together to celebrate ten years since the sitcom first aired.

The two-hour special will air on New Year's Day on Channel 4, and will celebrate the three seasons of the TV series and the two movie spin-offs with never-before-told stories, behind-the-scenes footage and contributions from celebrity fans.

It will also rank the funniest moments from across the series with categories including Best Sex Scene and Best Ever Moment.

Emily Atack, who took part in this year's I'm a Celebrity, will also appear as the show remembers her character Charlotte Hinchcliffe, the most popular girl in school.

Speaking previously about the reunion, co-executive producer Will Macdonald said: "The love for The Inbetweeners is huge, the kind of love that Jay would boast he's had many times – big celebrities, millions of viewers and loving fans from across the globe.

"And it's so exciting the boys will be back together to feel that love from all those people and enjoy it first-hand. What could possibly go wrong?"

The Inbetweeners: Fwends Reunited will air on New Year's Day (January 1) at 9pm on Channel 4.
