Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas to host his own show at Colchester venue in 2025
One of the stars of the hit comedy series The Inbetweeners will be coming to Essex next year, it has been revealed. Comedian and actor Joe Thomas, who played Simon in the E4 sitcom which ran from 2008 to 2010, will be coming to Colchester in May.
Thomas is set to give a headline show at the Colchester Arts Centre on May 22, having previously talked about wanting to come to the city. Thomas, now 41 and originally from Chelmsford, has had a successful career in comedy since the end of the show and two subsequent films, the latter of which released ten years ago in 2014.
His show will be "An Evening with The Inbetweener’s Joe Thomas", with it focusing on his role as Simon in the show, his acting career, and more. The description for the event said: "It wasn't long after audiences were first introduced to hapless sixth-formers Will McKenzie, Neil Sutherland, Jay Cartright and Simon Cooper that The Inbetweeners became one of the nation's best loved shows.
