Inbetweeners stars reunite for X-rated White Gold packed with bad language and nudity

Fans of the Inbetweeners – so pretty much all of us – will be looking forward to seeing two of its stars reunite in the forthcoming sitcom White Gold next week.

Joe Thomas and James Buckley left their Inbetweeners’ characters, Simon and Jay, behind in 2014 after three TV series and two hit movies.

They’ll now be seen as Lavender and Fitzpatrick in White Gold and will be joined by Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick as Vincent, the boss of their company Cachet Windows.

The show kicks off on BBC Two on Wednesday May 24 at 10pm and viewers have been told to expect mild racism, including digs at the Irish, those with “slanty eyes” and of course, a few penis jokes thrown in for good measure.

“The show is set in the 1980s and the lines are of that era.

“We are not going to use them gratuitously.

“The characters who make these comments are picked up about their behaviour,” creator Damon Beesley said.

And Joe, who wrote one of the episodes in White Gold, admits the show is full of boyish banter just like the Inbetweeners.

The Inbetweeners enjoyed success with a TV series and two films.

The 33-year-old told The Sun: “The show has flavours of the Inbetweeners. I wrote the episode about dogging. It’s my sort of area.

“It was great working with James again too. I wrote jokes where I called him Buck Ugly and I think he looks like Yoda. I do like flagrant swearing and bad language.”

We can’t wait.
