An Edinburgh man has shared footage he filmed in the '70s on his Super 8 camera.

The short clip shows Holy Corner, in Bruntsfield, as locals get on and off a service 16 bus. Mike, who posted the footage to YouTube, said he 'blagged a council cherry picker' for the shot.

He regularly uploads clips from back in the day to his YouTube channel, many of which were shot on his Super 8 camera.

Sharing on YouTube, Mike said: "A 16 bus arrives at Holy Corner in 1975 on its way Oxgangs.

"Alas, a splice in the film throws the shot's focus out halfway through but I repeated the focused section so you have a chance to see it better. It was part of a film shot in Hermitage of Braid and Wester Hailes, bits of which turn up in a compilation of my 1970s Super 8mm short films."

One follower asked: "Short but interesting! How did you get up so high to take the film?"

Mike answered: "The chancer of a filmmaker who blagged a council cherry picker for the shot was me."
