Londoners are being offered the chance to win a £3.2 million Knightsbridge apartment for the price of a bottle of prosecco in the most extravagant “property prize draw” yet seen in the capital.

A competition website is selling 380,000 tickets for £10 with a maximum of 150 tickets per person, The winner will get the keys to a three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment a stone’s throw from Harrods.

The 1063 sq ft property on Walton Street is the first to be listed on new competition site Your LADDR. Pictures of the freehold property, which is set over two floors, show it has a modern kitchen, a large sitting room and dining area, plus three large double bedrooms.

It also has high ceilings, period features such as fireplaces and sash windows, and modern finishes like wood flooring and a neutral colour scheme.

As with previous property prize draws entrants will have to enter a skill based competition to stop it being deemed a random lottery, which by law, cannot be run for personal profit.

If one person marks the exact centre of the ball he or she will be declared the winner but if there is more than one right answer, the winner will be picked from the correct entries and the others given a cash prize.

The competition opens today and will stay open for nine months, or until all 380,000 tickets have been sold. This means each entrant buying one ticket has a 1 in 380,000 chance of winning the house.

Your LADDR was founded by Santa Agolli, who says she was inspired to launch the site to help young people in London get on the property ladder.

The 25-year-old Brixton-based entrepreneur, who quit her job working for Alexander McQueen in merchandising three months ago to focus on the site, said: “It is so hard to get on the London property market full stop, but for many people this kind of home is a dream. I want to empower someone to have this home which is right at the top end of the market. It is an amazing property, so I cannot wait to see who wins it.”

Ms Agolli said she was inspired to start the business after hearing about Marie Segar, who won a six-bedroom property in Warrington, Cheshire, after she bought ten £2 tickets in a raffle. The competition was the brainchild of owners Dunstan Low and his wife Natasha Dobosz, who had struggled to sell their £845,000 home.

Ms Agolli said: “I thought it was a great idea, and thought I should try and turn it in to a legitimate business. It has taken a lot of time and effort to get to this stage but not we’re here and we are launching which is amazing.”

Last month, website WinAbode offered Londoners the opportunity to win a £700,000 flat in Dalston for as little as £2.

The eventual winner of the ground-floor, three-bedroom flat in a modern development 15 minutes away from Liverpool Street station, will be given the property mortgage-free and won’t have to pay any legal fees.
