The incredible light-up steam train wrapped in thousands of LEDs to travel through Essex this Christmas

As we enter November, Christmas is just around the corner - and one Essex railway has released tickets to one of its most popular festive events. A steam train in Essex is set to be covered in thousands of coloured LED lights as part of a Christmas celebration - and visitors are welcome to get involved!

The spectacular train journey will take visitors on a special night time trip along the Epping and Ongar route this November and December. This winter, one of the steam trains at the Epping Ongar Railway will be wrapped with LED lights.

Music will also be played on-board as visitors sing, dance and cheer their way through some incredible countryside. The Epping Ongar Lights Express is an incredible light show on and in a steam train, consisting of thousands of coloured LED lights and LED wristbands, creating a kaleidoscope of different colours and flashing patterns.

There will also be a festive DJ mix of music. Each passenger will receive their own interactive LED wristband which is synchronised to the music, meaning you become part of the show. You won't have to take part thirsty, either - as hot and cold light refreshments, including a selection of bottled alcoholic drinks, will be available to purchase before boarding the train.

Commentary on-board is provided by the famed Voiceover Man who has been the voice of the X-Factor Stadium Tour since 2004. Renowned for his work as the promotions brand voice for BBC1 TV, the voice and face of E4, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network, Voiceover Man will bring comedy and surprise to the illuminated trains.

Tickets are available now, with a table for 4 people costing £90 (£120 on December 20, 21 and 22) and a table for 2 costing £45 (£60 on December 20, 21 and 22).
