Incredible moment a plane makes an emergency landing on the middle of a ROAD
This is the miraculous moment a small plane managed to land in the middle of a busy road in the middle of the day.
Surveillance footage shows the twin-engine Cessna 402B aircraft make an emergency landing on 18th Avenue S in St. Petersburg, Florida, last week.
The plane hit trees, power lines, and two vehicles on its way down, while a small burst of flames was also visible.
Incredibly, the two people on board and the three people in the two vehicles the plane crashed into managed to escape without serious injury.
St. Petersburg firefighters said the pilot’s skills are to thank for the accident not being a lot worse.
Fire Rescue Lt Steve Lawrence told the Tampa Bay Times: “I believe the pilot realised they were having some kind of issue with the aircraft and decided to land on the roadway rather than into someone’s house.
“So the pilot did a good job.”
Alphonsine Dean and her three-year-old grandson were inside one of the vehicles that was crashed into.

She managed to escape through the passenger door with the toddler and ran from the scene.
The 63-year-old said: “When I got a safe distance, I just fell down. And I thanked God.”
She added: “I can’t believe this happened. It was something you see in the movies. But it happened in real life.”
Officials are currently investigating what caused the emergency landing.
