Our world moves at a rapid pace and often feels like it’s lurching from one crisis to another.

From the constant political upheavals of the post-Brexit era to the twists and turns of the coronavirus pandemic and the latest alarming evidence of the climate emergency in action, keeping up with the 24-hour news cycle can feel like an exhausting full-time job.

But don’t worry: The Independent is here to help.

Every weekday at 8am, our Daily Briefing newsletter brings you a quick and timely digest of the top stories setting the agenda that morning so that you can start your day in the know.

The newsletter already brings you the finest reporting, writing and analysis from our site and it’s about to get even better, with the existing format updated to give it a fresher look and offer an even clearer overview of the day’s events.

It is also going to have a name change and will be called Morning Headlines.

If you already receive The Independent’s Daily Briefing newsletter, you don’t need to do anything to receive the new look Morning Headlines, it will continue to be delivered straight to your inbox as usual.

The Morning Headlines version will be sent from 23 August.

But if you aren’t receiving it already and would like to, simply enter your email into the box at the top of this article or click here to sign up by filling in your email address and Morning Headlines will arrive in your inbox every day from Monday to Friday.
