Indiana Jones Actor Ate Ex-Lover's Rabbit

A Hollywood actor has been sentenced to 60 days community service for skinning and eating his ex-girlfriend's rabbit.

Dimitri Diatchenko cooked his former lover's pet - named Ella - and then sent her graphic photos of his crime.

The 47-year-old killed her rabbit in December after she told him they should stop living together, prosecutors said.

Diatchenko, best known for his part in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, pleaded guilty to animal cruelty on Friday.

Los Angeles County Superior Court also ordered him to undergo 48 hours of animal cruelty counselling.

His ex-partner's identity was withheld by the court.

Diatchenko, who needed 250 stitches to his face when he was attacked by a wolf as a toddler, also appeared in TV shows Sons of Anarchy and How I Met Your Mother.
