Indianapolis man dies following Sunday crash on Interstate-69

Mar. 11—ANDERSON — An Indianapolis man died from injuries in a multi-vehicle crash Sunday on Interstate 69.

Coroner Adam Matson said Monday that Justin Thomas Tracy, 23, Indianapolis, died in the crash that took place at approximately 5:30 a.m. near mile marker 222 in the northbound lanes of the interstate.

According to a press release from the Anderson Police Department, three vehicles were involved in the accident.

Tracy reportedly rear-ended another vehicle and both came to a stop in the roadway.

Tracy was outside of his vehicle and was standing near the roadway when he was struck by a third vehicle.

Officers provided medical attention to Tracy, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The northbound lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours.

The Anderson Police Department Crash Team is continuing to investigate the accident.
