Indonesian haze sees children hospitalised with serious breathing problems

Dozens of children are being treated at this hospital in Riau Province, Indonesia for severe breathing problems caused by the haze which is hanging over the region.

Footage filmed on Saturday (September 21) at a clinic in the city of Pekanbaru showed minors in face masks being treated for acute respiratory tract infections.

Hundreds of thousands of people in Riau Province are reported to have suffered breathing problems as a result of the smog which is also affecting Malaysia and Singapore.
