Indonesian horror game DreadOut gets a new teaser, and a release date!

I’ve been pretty excited about DreadOut, the indie horror game from Indonesian developer Digital Happiness, for quite a while now. Ever since the demo scared the crap out of me last Halloween I’ve been hungry for more, and now I’ve finally got some good news for those of you out there like me: the game is coming soon. Like, next month soon.

Yes, the folks at Digital Happiness have released a new DreadOut teaser trailer that confirms the game will be available on Steam this May. Check it out:

For those who don’t know, DreadOut is a third-person horror game inspired by the Fatal Frame series and populated with unique ghosts inspired by Indonesian and Southeast Asian mythology. Gameplay is a mix of photography, puzzle-solving, and running terrified away from very angry ghosts in an Indonesian setting, and if the demo is any indication, the game is likely to be pretty good. It will be available for PC, Mac, and Linux, so if you have any kind of computer at all, this is definitely one to look out for next month.

And of course, we’ll have a thorough review for you here on Games in Asia.
