Indonesia's Mount Semeru erupts again, rescuers flee from search efforts

Rescuers flee from the victims search location as Indonesia Mount Semeru erupted again on 9.00 a.m, Thursday, December 16. Eruption released hot clouds of avalanches as far as 4.5 km from the top of the mountain. Rescuers and disaster volunteers who were looking for victims at safe distance were forced to leave the search location. As of Thursday, 48 people have been found dead, 10,000 people are still displaced after Mount Semeru erupted on December 4, 2021.
