Avengers: Infinity War has proven to be the smash hit of the year, but it's now been teased that one particular scene was originally much darker.
Once Josh Brolin's Mad Titan, Thanos, has clicked his fingers and dished out oblivion, we're given an emotional scene which reunites him with a young Gamora. However, according to a Slash Film report, it could've been so different.

In the theatrical release, Thanos approaches his orphan daughter on a clear surface, but the visual effects team over at Digital Domain had originally planned for him to stride across a red river of blood.
A bit of an exaggerated symbolism for murder, for sure, but the team felt it went a little too far for a mainstream blockbuster.
Elsewhere, co-director Joe Russo marvelled at Thanos' computer graphic creation.
"It really reflects every level of nuance in Josh Brolin's performance," he said. "You're watching Josh as a giant, purple alien, and you're seeing all of his movement, all of his facial expressions, on the most subtle level.
"I don't know that we've seen that level of photo-real performance capture before. Maybe in the Apes films, but this is really groundbreaking."
His brother Anthony added: "Even though he's despicable on so many levels, there's a part of Thanos that is very empathetic. He has a very complex inner life, and he's not all bad.
"Josh is a performer who's capable of delivering that kind of complexity, where you have that level of violence in him, but at the same time you have that level of sensitivity."
Avengers: Infinity War is available to pre-order on Blu-ray, DVD or digital download ahead of its release on September 3.
