Injured Hiker Airlifted in New Mexico

A hiker who had fallen off a cliff on the Sandia Crest Nature Trail in New Mexico was airlifted on August 3, footage released by Albuquerque Fire Rescue shows.

The hiker, identified as a 37-year-old woman, fell nearly 30 feet while rock climbing and injured her ankle, local news reported.

The incident occurred around 11 am, the fire department said, and by 11:44 am, rescue teams had reached her.
