Injuries Reported Amid Clashes at Jerusalem's Temple Mount

At least 20 people were injured in clashes at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount on April 21, local media reported, citing the Palestine Red Crescent Society.

Israeli police used sponge-tipped rounds and tear gas, Haaretz said, in response to fireworks and stones being thrown at them.

Hundreds of Jews were attempting to reach the site under police protection, Haaretz said, as Palestinian protesters barricaded themselves inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Thursday marked the last day non-Muslims could visit the religious site until the end of Ramadan, the Times of Israel reported.
