Injuries Reported After Explosion at Beechcraft Plant in Kansas

More than 12 people were injured when an explosion caused part of a building to collapse at the Beechcraft aircraft manufacturing facility in Wichita, Kansas, on December 27, authorities said.

Stephanie Harder, a spokeswoman for Beechcraft’s parent company, Textron Aviation, said the explosion occurred when a three-inch nitrogen line ruptured at around 8 am at the facility.

Eleven people were taken to hospital, one with potentially serious injuries, and four were treated at the scene, authorities said. This footage was filmed by Philip Johnson, a worker at the facility, shortly after the explosion. Credit: Philip Johnson via Storyful
