Haunting footage showing the inside of an abandoned Midlothian police station has been revealed by an urban explorer.

Uploaded to TikTok by fepz26, the video takes a tour around the police station which is understood to be in Loanhead.

We previously reported the former station was put on the market for new owners to redevelop the building as it boasts a huge garden, and plenty of space to turn into apartments. However, the TikTok video shows a different side to the property.

With many of the fittings still in place, the TikTok shows a slightly eerie interior. Many of the desks and pin boards are still constructed - some parts of the building feel like officers could walk back in tomorrow and get back to the daily grind if they needed to.

The clip even shows relics used in the past including a singular dart board.

Midlothian council previously issued a listing for the derelict building which reads: "The subjects comprise of a former police station.

"The building has rendered brick walls overlaid with a pitched slate roof and drainage is served by cast-iron gutters and downpipes.

"The subjects are secured by a brick wall. There is a large gate to the rear which provides access to the building and additional parking/yard space.

"The subjects benefit from a detached garage and outbuilding."

Offers over £250,000 are invited for the property.
