Gucci has opened a new Corner Shop at Selfridges - and it's a vision in millennial pink.

Selling handbags, jewellery and trainers, the Gucci Corner Shop has all the essentials covered - besides milk or an emergency bag of crisps.

The takeover marks the first time the brand's homeware line, Gucci Decor, has been available to shop at Selfridges, so if you're more inclined towards furnishings than bags you can pick up a hand-embroidered tiger cushion or decorated folding side table.

The interior of the pop-up store reflects the sort of maximalist fun Alessandro Michele's brand has become known for, with curtains of metallic angel hair tinsel framing the windows, velvet mirrors and pink lacquered display units.

Gucci has enjoyed a sales boom since the designer's arrival in 2015, and now has a diverse set of A-list fans and ambassadors including Rihanna, Florence Welch and Jared Leto.

It's also popular with the young royals - Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle and Princess Beatrice have all picked dresses by the brand for official events.

The Selfridges Corner Shop space has previously hosted takeovers by Chanel, Fendi and Gareth Pugh. The latest Gucci takeover will run for the next two months, until 6th January 2019.
