Inside Harry Potter star Warwick Davis' life with tragic loss and love affair with Cornwall
Actor Warwick Davis is regularly spotted in Cornwall, with the 64-year-old being photographed in the area on numerous occasions throughout 2024 alone.
The star, famed for appearing in the Star Wars and Harry Potter films, was most recently seen at a little van in Porthleven that sells house plants and succulents.
Warwick, who played roles including Professor Flitwick in the Harry Potter movies, has also been spotted at Perranporth, Falmouth and Truro throughout the year. He previously spoke of his love for Cornwall while filming in Launceston, saying: “Cornwall isn’t all about cream teas and scrumpy. It’s a county brimming with magic, mystery and plenty of strange surprises if you scratch beneath the surface.”

He's delighted locals on several occassions, always stopping for photographs, signing autographs and visiting local businesses. He's been spotted at the likes of Harry's Toy Chest shop in Truro as well as a local record shop in Falmouth, and Pavilion Ice Cornish Ice Cream Parlour in Perranporth.
Warwick, who lives near Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, boasts an incredible career in TV and film, having started out in the industry when he was just 11 years old. He has been part of the Star Wars film series, playing several different characters, as well as the Harry Potter franchise.
Many will also recognise Warwick from the 1988 film Willow, as well as the Leprechaun film series. He starred in the sitcom Life's Too Short as well, in which he portrayed a fictionalised version of himself. Away from acting, Warwick has presented shows such as Celebrity Squares and Tenable.
Warwick was born with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenita, a rare bone growth disorder that results in dwarfism. He stands at 107cm tall (3 feet 6 inches). He co-founded Little People UK, a charity that provides support to people with dwarfism and their families.
Warwick's late wife Samantha, who died in March 2024, had achondroplasia. The couple met while Warwick was filming Willow, in which Samantha had a minor role as a Nelwyn villager.
The couple's two children, Annabelle and Harrison, have SED. Annabelle has followed in her father's footsteps and also carved out a career in TV and film. She has starred in CBBC series The Dumping Ground from 2015 until 2022, and last year landed a role in hit Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, playing character Lacey Lloyd. She's also appeared in two Star Wars films as well as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.
