Inside Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene’s Reasons For Getting Married
This week, Lana Del Rey married alligator tour guide Jeremy Dufrene, shocking fans with a confirmation of what had only been a rumored relationship. The September 26 wedding was held in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, and a source told People that the couple chose a place close to their hearts for the ceremony.
“The wedding ceremony and reception were both held in the same bayou where Jeremy operates his swamp boats tours,” said the insider. “This is where they first met. It’s a special place for them. It was a beautiful, relaxed and family focused wedding. The focus was just on their love story.”
The source shared more about their love story, saying that Del Rey and Dufrene “initially met a few years ago the first time and then reconnected earlier this year.”
They added, “It’s been kind of a whirlwind romance, but Lana’s close friends hoped she would get married. Jeremy is different from the men that Lana meets in the entertainment world. He’s a great guy. He’s charming and charismatic in a Southern way, very much a gentleman and he treats Lana really well. She’s an old soul.”
The Daily Mail shared photos from the event that show the musical artist wearing a white gown with a ruffle neckline, a full skirt, and a short train. Dufrene wore a dark blue suit. Del Rey’s father, Robert Grant, walked her down the aisle and the reception was held in several white tents by the water. There was also a boat covered in greenery and white flowers.
In 2019, Del Rey shared pictures on Facebook from a wildlife tour she took with Dufrene, writing in the caption, “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours.”
In May of this year, Del Ray tagged Dufrene in another post on Instagram, bringing her two siblings on another tour.
She wrote in the caption, “Family w my guy @jeremy.dufrene @codyjay.”
