Inside Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan's quiet life in gorgeous Cornwall village
Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan, the original hosts of ITV's This Morning, have been a familiar presence on British television for decades.
The couple, who have been married since 1986, reside in a stunning home in the picturesque seaside village of Polperro, Cornwall.
Richard, 68, and Judy, 76, have had a long and successful career in television, also presenting the popular Channel 4 chat show Richard & Judy from 2001 to 2008. In addition to their joint projects, they have also pursued solo ventures, with Judy becoming a Sunday Times bestseller with her novel Eloise, and Richard presenting ITV's Good Morning Britain.
The couple first met in 1982 while working for Granada TV and have two children together, Jack and Chloe. Richard is also stepfather to twins from Judy's previous marriage.
In their free time, they enjoy a peaceful life in Polperro, with Richard often walking along the cliff path to the village. Judy has written about their love for the area, saying, "We live at Talland Bay, near Polperro, that is where we call home. We are here most of the time and Richard likes to walk over the cliff path to Polperro every day.

"It is a great walk and you get to meet and know local people who have mostly accepted us as their own now."
Polperro, a picturesque fishing village on Cornwall's south coast, is steeped in charm. The harbour offers breathtaking views of the sea and the surrounding hillside, dotted with quaint cottages.
This historic village is famous for its 18th and 19th-century smuggling past, as well as being a key stop on the South West Coast Path. From Polperro, visitors can take a scenic walk along the coast path to Looe, passing by the serene Talland Bay.
The bay boasts two secluded coves, forming two beaches: Talland Sands and Rotterdam Beach. Both offer a chance to explore rock pools at low tide and swim in the crystal-clear waters.
Polperro's property market features a range of options, including Grade II-listed cottages, terraced houses, detached and semi-detached homes, and flats. However, buying a property in the village comes with a hefty price tag, according to Rightmove data.
Over the past year, properties in Polperro had an average price of £704,300. Detached properties were the most popular, selling for an average of £1,003,333, while semi-detached properties fetched £250,000 and terraced properties sold for £261,500.
