Rod Stewart's son Alastair Stewart celebrated his 19th birthday in style this week, before raising a pint at the Celtic game on Wednesday night.

The Maggie May rocker's son travelled to Scotland on a private jet to mark his milestone with his pals. Alastair towered over dad Rod, who was stood beside him alongside all his friends as they posed for a photo outside the plane earlier this week.

The group all looked dapper in suits and ties. Alastair sported a fur jacket, whilst Rod, 79, notably had on his classic white and green tie in a nod to his favourite team.

In another update on his Instagram story, Rod shared some hilarious snippets from the birthday celebrations, with all the gang donning party masks featuring Alastair's face.

They enjoyed a meal at The Anchor Line before going for a round of darts in quirky Glasgow bar Flight Club located on George Street. The now 19-year-old shared some video snippets of the boys getting competitive as the drinks continued flowing.

The boys were sporting their green and white scarves at the game in Glasgow and embraced the fun despite the cold weather as they wrapped up in leather gloves.

Rod managed to catch up with his pals at talkSPORT ahead of the Champions League clash against Club Brugge, but was left red-faced when Alastair was forced to step in and correct him over a hilarious blunder.

Rod said: "It's my boy's 17th birthday and five of his mates have flown in from Italy because he wants to show them what a real football stadium sounds like so I'm taking them up to Glasgow for the day."

After Alastair then corrected him off air, the dad-of-eight added: ""Oh I wish I was dead, he's just said it's his 19th birthday.

"I couldn't name one of my children's birthdays, it's disgusting.

"But I love them all and they know Dad's a little forgetful."

Earlier this week, we reported Rod is set to grace the Glastonbury stage in 2025, taking on the festival's prestigious legends slot, 23 years after his last performance there.

Having previously headlined the festival in 2002, Rod is the first confirmed act for Glastonbury 2025, which is scheduled to take place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from June 25 - 29.

He expressed his excitement about the upcoming show, stating he's "proud, ready and more than able to pleasure and titillate my friends at Glastonbury" come next June.

This announcement follows Stewart's recent revelation that he plans to retire from "large-scale world tours" by the end of 2025.
