Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marked their sixth wedding anniversary this month.

However, their special day was marred by a significant disagreement between the Sussexes and the Prince and Princess of Wales.

In his 2023 memoir 'Spare', Harry shed light on the rift that developed among the once dubbed 'Fab Four'.

He expressed his disappointment over the lack of bonding between his wife and brother's family, leading to a sit-down discussion to iron out their differences.

A major point of contention was the alleged swapping of name cards at Harry and Meghan's wedding by William and Kate, reports the Mirror.

Recounting a meeting held at Kensington Palace in June 2018, Harry wrote: "For our part, we chipped in that we weren't too pleased when Willy and Kate switched place cards and changed seats at our wedding.

"We'd followed the American tradition, placing couples next to each other, but Willy and Kate didn't like that tradition, so their table was the only one where spouses were apart."

"They insisted it wasn't them, it was someone else. And they said we'd done the same thing at Pippa's wedding. We hadn't.

"Much as we'd wanted to. We'd been separated by a huge flower arrangement between us, and though we'd desperately wanted to sit together, we hadn't done a thing about it. None of this airing of grievances was doing us any good, I felt. We weren't getting anywhere."

The upcoming book from Prince Harry gives an inside look into the reported fallout between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton over bridesmaid dresses at his wedding, which had been a point of media speculation.

It was initially publicised that Kate was left in tears after a disagreement with Meghan, but in the 2021 Oprah interview, Meghan debunked this narrative and shared that it was she who had cried.

Prince Harry sheds light on numerous incidents leading up to their ordination, one of which encompassed Kate forgetting a minor detail about the wedding plans.

He attributed the forgetfulness to Kate's "baby brain", given she had welcomed her third child, Prince Louis on April 23, 2018, just under a month before Meghan and Harry's Windsor Castle wedding on May 19, 2018. This assumption had offended Kate, added Harry.

He revealed another dispute surfaced four days before the nuptial when Princess Charlotte, Kate's daughter, tried her bridesmaids' dress which proved exceedingly large.

According to Harry, Kate wished for the dress to be entirely re-stitched while Meghan proposed tailoring adjustments could rectify the issue.

After the fallout over the dress fitting, Harry discovered Meghan crying on the floor and confessed that Kate came by the next day offering an olive branch in the form of flowers and a cardan account corroborated by Meghan during her interview with Oprah.

After Meghan and Harry's honeymoon, the couple partook in a peacekeeping tea at Kensington Palace.

During this, it is alleged that Kate addressed Meghan over the "baby brain" remark, as Harry recounts: "You talked about my hormones. We are not close enough for you to talk about my hormones."

Harry went on to recall how Meghan appeared nonplussed by Kate's remarks, explaining away her comments as typical of her interaction style with friends.

He further claimed William confronted Meghan, dubbing her 'rude' and asserting her behaviour was inappropriate within British society.

However, this prompted an assertive retort from Meghan who reportedly told William to "take your finger out of my face", according to Harry.
