Instagram official: Selena Gomez and The Weeknd take their rumoured relationship to the next level

In true millennial fashion, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have taken their rumoured relationship to the next level by following each other on the popular photo-sharing site.

More than that, Gomez’s cousin and close family friend, Priscilla DeLeon, has also followed the ‘Starboy’ singer, serving as an early indicator that he’s perhaps already earned the family’s seal of approval.

This comes after Gomez, 24, and The Weeknd, 26, were caught on camera canoodling after enjoying a dinner date at Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on January 10.

“They came out and they were so happy,” a source told Us Weekly of the pair. “They were hugging and kissing. … Selena was all over him, hugging, kissing [him]. She looked amazing and so incredibly happy and in love.”

Meanwhile, the Grammy winner – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – continues to follow his ex-girlfriend, Bella Hadid, who also follows him back, despite unfollowing Gomez on Instagram earlier this month (complicated, we know).

Following the end of their 18-month romance in November, Bella and The Weeknd have apparently remained on good terms. However, it’s been reported that the model now thinks Gomez is “using” her former boyfriend.

“Bella has reached out to Abel a few times and told him Selena is using him,” an insider revealed. “He thinks she’s just jealous and isn’t listening to her.”
