Intense Conditions Seen in Odessa, Texas, as Storms Hit

Flash flooding was seen in north Odessa and surrounding areas of Texas on September 14, with “heavy rain” and “frequent to continuous lightning”, the National Weather Service said.

Odessa woman Veronica Barry recorded the intense conditions, as driving winds and flash flooding hit her suburb on the north side of Odessa.

The National Weather Service said isolated thunderstorms accompanied by frequent lightning, small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall were possible on Thursday afternoon, mainly over the Davis Mountains. Credit: Veronica Barry via Storyful
