Intense Rain Drenches Salt Lake City as Dark Storm Clouds Roll Through

The National Weather Service (NWS) reported “very heavy rain” in Salt Lake City, Utah, “producing localized ponding of water on roadways” on Wednesday, September 14.

Nearly 1 inch (25 mm) of rain fell in less than an hour in some areas, the NWS said.

Timelapse footage posted by the University of Utah Weather Center on Wednesday shows dark storm clouds bringing heavy rainfall as they roll over Salt Lake City.
