Intense Thunderstorms Bring Hail and High Winds to Des Moines

Intense thunderstorms hit Des Moines, Iowa, on June 22, brining heavy winds and hail to parts of the state capital region.

On Tuesday, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Des Moines and adjacent locations, warning of winds up to 60 mph and ping pong-sized hail.
