You may have noticed something different about The Telegraph homepage today. Our new homepage has been designed absolutely with you in mind.

Firstly, we have made it easier to find the most important stories and opinion pieces of the moment - they are at the top of the page and arranged so as to ensure you are fully informed of the biggest issues at all times.

Secondly, we have introduced four new areas of the page to keep you abreast of the full spectrum of our award-winning journalism.

'Headlines' collates the latest developments in current affairs, business and sport for your convenience.

'Downtime' is where you will find recommendations from our unrivalled roster of critics and experts, as well as inspirational real-life stories and interviews with the great and the good.

'Inside story' is the place for perspective and interpretation. Here, Telegraph journalists will take you behind the headlines with in-depth features, exhaustive background pieces and captivating long reads.

Finally, 'Better Living' will showcase the best of our practical advice, taking in everything from careers to personal finance, travel to health and fitness.
