Intruders force entry into Cotswold home and then steal car

Intruders have forced their way into a property in Stow-on-the-Wold and stolen two wallets and a set of car keys before stealing a car outside of the home. The incident was reported to have happened at around 3am this morning (July 11) and there has been a high police presence in the area and forensic teams are reported to have been at the scene this morning.

The house break-in happened in the Cotswold village of Little Rissington. The car reported to have been stolen was a black BMW X5 which has since been recovered in Birmingham.

A Gloucestershire police spokeswoman said: "It was reported that at around 3am this morning (11 July), a black BMW X5 was stolen from a property in Little Rissington. It is believed the unknown offenders forced the lock on a downstairs window to enter the property and took two wallets and a set of car keys before making off in the vehicle which was parked outside.

"The vehicle was recovered in Birmingham just before midday."
