Investigation launched after man dies in hospital after accident at business

A man has died following an accident at a business premises in Swansea. The incident took place at a business located on Gorseinon Road in the Penllergaer area of the city on Wednesday, June 12.

The 53-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries after the incident, and was taken to hospital, where he sadly passed away. The Health and Safety Executive has said it is supporting an investigation which is being led by South Wales Police.

A statement from South Wales Police read: "Officers were called to attend a business premises on Gorseinon Road, Penllergaer shortly after 11am on Wednesday, June 12. A 53-year-old man from Landore was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and has since passed away. His family are being supported by specially-trained officers."
