COPS were called to a busy street after the 'unexplained' death of a man.

They were alerted to Paisley Road in Renfrew shortly before 11am on Sunday morning where a 53-year-old man was found dead.

His death is not being treated as suspicious, but an investigation has been launched.

A report is being submitted to the procurator fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of the sudden death of a 53-year-old man on Paisley Road, Renfrew around 10.55am on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious.

"A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.”
